Japan Marverlous Drummers
Having performed in over 20 countries across the globe, Japan Marvelous Drummers’ use the traditional instruments of Japan including drums of all sizes, the Koto harp, bamboo flutes and clarinet to create a truly unique show. Combining the power of these instruments with dance, humour and beauty, this intense rhythmic show has the power to change the way you think about Japan forever.
In 2014, for the first time in the festival, featuring a cast of outstanding musicians, the show got five stars reviews across the board in the biggest performing arts festival in the world, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and got the honor to perform in the BBC show at the last week of the festival.
In 2015 performed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015 for the second time, and we received 5 stars reviews 2 consecutive years, also, among 3,300 shows, was the first and only Japanese group that had the honor of receiving the "Three Weeks Editors'Award”. In Japan performed in the “Taka no Saiten” festival, one of the biggest festivals of the Japanese baseball league, bringing joy using Japanese drums to an audience of 200.000 people.
In 2016, in one of the oldest international championships in the world, the “Louis Vuitton America’s Cup” held in Asia for the very first time, performed in the prize giving and the ending ceremony.
In 2017 had the honor to perform in the 37th “Umi Zukuri Taikai” in the presence of the Emperor of Japan. And in the 25th Fukuoka’s Culture award, was chosen to receive the “Fukuoka’s Culture Award” for spreading the Japanese Culture through the Japanese Drums.
Becoming the Award winning and international Japan Marvelous Drummers, bringing joy to audiences all over the world.

Masaru Nishiguchi
Being inspired by his father, started Taiko in the age of 8.
As a Taiko Performer, performed with Shamisen Musicians, Shakuhachi Musicians, Pianists, Drummers, and movie creators. Having Sessions with artists in every art field . Writing all the music,directing and produce all the Japan Marvelous Drummers stages.
Also wrote and Performed, since 2009, for four years in the Hotto Motto Commercial.
Being Japanese Drums teacher in thehis oun drumming school, he also artistic director and stage manager of Japan Marvelous Drummers.
Since he was very young, until now, he stills performing as Japan Marvelous Drummers leader all around the world.
